But I guess I am not, since I am just plain exhausted from the meeting and can&#8217;t put together any extended words.  Suffice it to say, I thought it was terrific.  Some glitches naturally (sorry to those who were in Greentree with insufficient transportation:  wish I had a mulligan on that!), but overall I was thrilled about the things we had control over:  the plenaries, the receptions, the convention center setup, the scheduling.  We had 3780 participants, an all-time record for OR conferences.  Thanks to all who made that happen!<br \/>\nA few sightings on the web:  the <a href=\"http:\/\/digital-orrery.blogspot.com\/\">&#8220;Practical Communist&#8221;<\/a> has some postings and some absolutely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/digitalorrery\/\">amazing pictures<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.procureiq.com\/\">Procure IQ<\/a> has a number of posts on the conference, including a summary of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.procureiq.com\/2006\/11\/06\/everyday-lessons-from-operations-research\/\">President Mark Daskin&#8217;s plenary<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t read <a href=\"http:\/\/david8373.spaces.live.com\/Blog\/cns!CF997E9A33CFA168!1849.entry\">David&#8217;s Space<\/a>, but he clearly was at the conference (before heading to Chicago) and also has some great pictures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OK, a &#8220;real&#8221; blogger would have put together a dozen posts from the Pittsburgh INFORMS Meeting.
