WARNING: I suppose this could be considered a plot buster as it refers to the general state of affairs at the end of 'The Commodore'. Unspeakable misfortune indeed! With Lord Melville as First Lord, Jack's political position looking solid, his fortune intact, his record exemplary and, no doubt, his flag lieutenant competent, how could our boy go wrong? And yet, who else could the title of the forthcoming book refer too? I await the new book with the usual impatience and no little anxiety... ...
