spoiler spoiler spoiler Did The Master Nod? I'm sure this has been discussed to death, but I avoided those discussions having not yet read the book...but when did Stephen buy back the Surprise, for all love? I believe that the phrase is that Stephen was the "nominal owner" of the Surprise.? At least I recall this from either the Yellow Admiral or the Hundred Days.? What this means is anyone's guess, but I have the feeling that Jack paid Stephen back, i.e. paid him the original pu ...

47 The Yellow Admiral (with spoilage) -- rank: 873
Greetings: I've been on a bit of a tear this second half of the year and have just finished "The Yellow Admiral" this evening. Which leads me to a question... SPOILER SPACE SPOILER SPACE REALLY...SPOILER SPACE... O.K., if you're still with me. As with Truelove/Clarissa Oakes, I had a different reaction with this one the second time through. I did not much care for TL the first time through, I liked it much more this time. TYA was OK the first time through, profoundly depressi ...

Ah, to wield such power! I chortled at that one! When I get my tiara, David, will you be my consort? That is too bad about Borders. Reminds us of You've Got Mail with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks? My daughter worked for Target Stores some time ago and told me that the retail stores can check a receipt easily, go back in their own records. Rosemary could tell us. (well, fairly easily) I wouldn't think a grocery store could do that though. ~~ Linnea On Sat, Nov 15, 2008 at 2:52 PM, David Harw ...

I had a disagreement with my local Borders a couple of weeks ago. I had purchased a book from them and a couple of weeks later found that 41 pages were missing from the middle of it. I tried to exchange it, but they said they couldn't do it because I didn't have the original receipt. I told them that if that was their attitude I could no longer shop at their store. Now I hear that they are filing for Chapter 11. Oddly, I feel little guilt. David Harwell  Who apparently wields enormous eco ...

Thanks. I may end up going the same route especially if Borders disappears before I can order TYA. And if it does go under, there most likely won't be a THD or BATM in that series. Damn! I like consistency, even in the packaging of my recorded books. Katherine 40:59:25 N 73:40:45 W "My wool garment? You have noticed it, have you? I had forgot, or I should have pointed it out. Chapter 11 of The Yellow Admiral? How does that apply?
